LinTek (Linköpings teknologers studentkår) is the Union of Technology and Science Students at Linköping University. The union was founded in 1971 and has some 3000 members today.
My Work
From June of 2015 until June of 2016, I served as LinTek's Head of Marketing: a full-time, 1-year engagement where I was responsible for LinTek's internal and external communication, as well as its brand strategy. As Head of Marketing I was also in charge of the organisation's website and, at the time, the position entailed being the publisher of LinTek's member magazine, "LiTHanian". Additionally, on top of this, I recruited and led the LinTek Marketing Team, a dedicated group of graphic artists, project managers and copywriters who assisted me with the larger campaigns. It was largely an administrative and strategic role, but I did get to make the odd designs too, as seen above.

Aside from running daily business - updating social media and producing content for the same, strategising campaigns, composing website bulletins, creating printed materials, leading the Marketing Group and assisting my colleagues with PR expertise - the position also sometimes offered more unusual tasks: a highlight was being part of the student communication hub for Music Aid (Musikhjälpen) which, as it happened, took place in Linköping in the winter of 2015. The respective Heads of Marketing of the three student unions of Linköping University collaborated with the University and student associations to coordinate the student fundraising efforts. I still do get the shivers looking at the incredible sum our amazing students raised in a single night from the Musikhjälpenkravallen party - 205 942,57 kr! The total sum raised for the whole week was much more than that of course, but that single night was something special.
